His son Dr. José Alberto Cabezas y Cabezas (1921-1984) graduated from the School of Law of Universidad de Guayaquil, and served as the legal adviser of The Bank of London in Guayaquil, an international entity that promoted him to Pro-Manager and Attorney-in-Fact, where he remained for more than 50 years.

He received the highest university award for his doctoral dissertation on International Law – Premio Universidad de Guayaquil. When he concluded his services with the bank, Dr. J. Alberto Cabezas honestly served as notary and real estate registrar.

Like his father and grandfather, Dr. Luis Cabezas Parrales felt the same vocation for Law.

He initially served as an assistant in the Superior Court of Justice, and shortly after he left the Court to serve as an assistant to well-known Ecuadorian attorney Dr. Raúl Gómez Lince.

In 1971, Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil bestowed student Luis Cabezas Parrales the University Award in recognition of his attaining the highest grades in two continuous scholar periods and, accordingly, the highest-grade average    of the entire university.

From 1973 to 2008 Dr. Cabezas Parrales practiced Corporate Law in Universidad Católica, which appointed him as Honorary Professor in 2011. He serves as an attorney at the Ecuadorian Academy of Corporate Law, and arbitrator of the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil. He served as Municipal Pro-Secretary for the City of Guayaquil; Intendant of Companies of Guayaquil twice, in 1984 and in 1997; Secretary-Executive Director de la of the Chamber of Insurance Companies of Ecuador; Legal Director of the Under Secretariat of Fishing Resources and the Stock Market of Guayaquil; member of the Editorial Board and columnist of El Telégrafo journal (1987-2002); and member of the Bank Board (2003-2007.) He founded the School of Law, Politics, and Development of Universidad Espíritu Santo (1996.) He writes for the Corporate Law Magazine and for the Juridical Magazine of Universidad Católica.

Dr. Luis Cabezas Parrales transmitted his love for Law to his sons, with whom he is now establishing Cabezas & Cabezas-Klaere Law Firm.
Luis Cabezas-Klaere graduated as attorney at Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, where he received the Law Students Association Award in 1998, 1999, and 2000. He was a guest columnist for El Telégrafo journal and a World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank consultant for COPEFEN Corp. (Coordinating Reconstruction Institution for the Damage Caused by El Niño, Ecuador, 2000 – 2002), and consultant for Fundación Terminal Terrestre de Guayaquil (2003.) He also served as advisor for Corporación para la Administración Temporal Eléctrica de Guayaquil (currently the Public Electric Company of Guayaquil) (2005 – 2006.) Later he was an advisor to the Juridical Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic and deputy delegate to the President of the Republic before the National Securities Council (2006 – 2007); advisor to the Regional Management of Guayaquil for Corporación Financiera Nacional and Deputy Director of this institution (2007-2008); advisor to the General State Attorney’s Office (2008 – 2010); General Secretary of the Superintendence of Banks and Insurance, and Secretary of the Bank Board (2011.) Since 2009 he is a Corporate Law lecturer at Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil.
